Sample: Product Photos for an Online Shop

How we'd replace an online shop's phone snapshots with clean, consistent product photos that show true colours and build trust at a glance.

Sample commercial photography case study: it shows how we approach this service and will be replaced with real client work as it’s added.

What we made
The challenge

Where this project started

A content creator has launched a small product line for their followers, but the online shop uses quick phone snapshots taken on a kitchen counter. The lighting changes from photo to photo, colours look off, and the products seem cheaper than they are.

The idea

The thinking behind the work

Make every product look like part of one family. Two simple looks: clean shots on a soft coloured background for the shop, and styled lifestyle scenes for social media, both lit the same way so the brand feels consistent.

What we made

The finished work, up close

A shot list for every product, a studio-style set-up on location, clean shop photos from several angles, styled lifestyle photos for social posts, and edited files sized for the online shop, social media and print.

Results

The results

This sample commercial photography case study shows how we’d plan and shoot product photos for an online shop. On a real project, we’d look at things like how many visitors add items to their cart and how often the photos are shared. Real results will appear here once this sample is replaced with one of Michael’s own projects.
